Support & Troubleshooting

Start here for common installation, connection, licensing, and email-alert problems. If you still need help, contact support@pzem-gui.com.

App won't open

Confirm you're using the build for your operating system. On Linux, verify the package installed correctly, that a secret-service backend (GNOME Keyring or KWallet) is installed and running, and check executable/device permissions. On macOS and Windows, use the signed release supplied with your order (also notarized on macOS).

PZEM isn't detected

Check wiring, the serial adapter, the selected COM/serial port, and the slave address. On Linux, verify that your user has permission to access the serial device.

License won't activate

Activation requires internet access and a valid license key. Check that the key matches the purchase email and that the computer can reach the licensing service. Contact support if the old machine is unavailable for deactivation.

Email alerts aren't working

Verify the provider preset or SMTP/IMAP settings, authentication requirements such as app passwords, network access, and the configured alarm thresholds. Do not send your email password to support.

Need to move the license

Use the License panel to deactivate the current machine, then activate on the replacement machine. If the old machine is unavailable, contact support.

Need a refund?

See the Refund Policy. The EULA provides a 30-day refund policy unless a different written term is shown at checkout.

When contacting support

Please include the operating system, PZEM model, application version, the serial/COM port you selected, and a description of the problem. Screenshots are useful when the problem is visible in the application.

For licensing problems, include the purchase email or order number when appropriate. Never send your email password or other secrets through the contact form.
