1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the public website operated for PZEM GUI at pzem-gui.com, including the support/contact form and pages used to describe and sell PZEM Power Monitor.
It does not replace the software policies in the PZEM Power Monitor End-User License Agreement (EULA). The EULA contains the application-specific disclosures about license activation, machine identifiers, acceptance records, email-alert credentials, and licensing-related processing.
No PZEM GUI customer account or password is required to use this website or activate the software. Purchases and order history are handled through Lemon Squeezy's services.
2. Information collected
Information you submit
If you use the contact form, we receive the information you choose to submit, including your email address, optional phone number, and message. We use that information to answer your question, provide support, respond to pre-sale inquiries, and communicate about a support request.
Security and technical information
The contact form uses Cloudflare to distinguish normal visitors from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical information necessary to provide its security service.
Our hosting and service providers may receive ordinary technical information associated with requests, such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, and request information, where needed to operate, secure, or troubleshoot their services.
Purchase and licensing information
Purchases are processed through Lemon Squeezy. Purchase-related information is handled by Lemon Squeezy under its own terms and privacy policy. When a purchase is used to activate PZEM Power Monitor, the software licensing service may receive the information described in Section 12 of the EULA.
3. How information is used
- Respond to support and pre-sale questions.
- Operate and secure the website and contact form.
- Prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use.
- Process and administer software licenses and activations.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website and software where appropriate.
We do not use the licensing records described in the EULA to build a marketing profile of you, and the EULA states that PZEM Power Monitor does not transmit PZEM meter readings, usage analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics to Licensor as part of license verification.
4. Service providers and third parties
We use third-party services to operate this website and business. Depending on the interaction, these may include:
- Cloudflare — Security infrastructure used by the contact form.
- Lemon Squeezy — checkout, merchant-of-record services, order delivery, and purchase-related processing.
- Google Fonts — the site currently requests the IBM fonts from Google Fonts for the site's typography.
These providers process information according to their own policies and service terms. We do not sell personal data.
5. Privacy of the software
The software has a separate, more specific privacy section in the EULA.
For the complete and controlling software-specific language, see the PZEM Power Monitor EULA.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including support, security, license administration, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Specific retention periods can vary by the service provider and by the type of record. We do not claim a single fixed retention period for every category of information.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You may contact us to ask what personal information we maintain about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or ask us to delete information when deletion is legally and operationally available. Some records may need to be retained to provide a purchased license, prevent fraud, document a transaction, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies, you may have additional rights. Nothing in this policy is intended to remove rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
We do not sell personal data. We do not intentionally use this website for targeted advertising or behavioral advertising.
8. Children
This website and software are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the contact form.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, software, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy is materially revised.
10. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@pzem-gui.com.
