Windows

Download the Windows build from your order and run the .exe directly. PZEM Power Monitor is a standalone, portable application on Windows — there is no separate installer, so nothing else needs to be installed.

macOS

Download the macOS build appropriate for your Mac (Apple Silicon or Intel). Open the .dmg and drag PZEM Power Monitor into your Applications folder, then launch it from there.

Linux

Download the .deb package, then install it from a terminal in the download folder with sudo apt install ./<filename>.deb — using apt rather than dpkg directly resolves and installs any missing dependencies automatically.

Download the .AppImage package and run the AppImage directly. AppImage is a standalone, portable application on Linux — there is no separate installer, so nothing else needs to be installed.

PZEM Power Monitor stores credentials using your desktop's secret-service backend, so a provider such as GNOME Keyring or KWallet needs to be installed and running. This is included by default on a standard Ubuntu Desktop install. If the application cannot access the serial interface, check the device path and user permissions.

After installation

  1. Connect the PZEM-014 or PZEM-016 through its serial interface.
  2. Launch PZEM Power Monitor.
  3. Accept the EULA and activate the license.
  4. Select the correct serial/COM port and slave address.
  5. Start measurement and configure logging, alarms, and email features as needed.

Download updates

If a newer file is added to the Lemon Squeezy product, existing customers can access the files through the Lemon Squeezy My Orders link.
